Standing 135 metres (340 feet) above the river Thames, the Eye has
become the way for visitors to the city to see London.

wheel turns slowly, giving breathtaking views of one of the world's

1. The London Eye opened in 2000 and can carry 15,000 people each day.
2. In 2004, the London Eye was voted the World's Leading Attraction in
the Annual World Travel Awards.
3. Your trip on the Eye will take 30 minutes and you should arrive 30
minutes before your flight time.
4. On a clear day, you can see Windsor Castle, 25 miles away.
5. The London Eye is on the south bank of the River Thames, opposite Big
Ben. Five minutes walk from Westminster and Waterloo underground metro
stations and Waterloo mainline rail station. From Charing Cross, the Eye
is a 15 minute walk across the Hungerford pedestrian bridge.
6. It is advisable to book your ticket ahead of your visit. You can book
a specific day and time, which avoids waiting too long in the lines.
7. For an especially romantic time, a whole capsule can be book for just
two people.
