Four dots to use Sahaj Yoga
The world is getting on top of you and you're crying out for some relief. Are music and sound the answer?

Followers of various branches of meditation believe that music can help calm the soul and improve your life. Using healing circles--several people led by a guru--followers of Sahaj Yoga feel the benefits of sound. In more intense one-to-one sessions, the individual can receive closer attention.

For a Sahaj sound experience, you lie on a special couch, which moulds itself to the contours of your body. With a smell of aromatherapy oils in the air, and with a light covering over your eyes, you are ready to begin. Small speakers are placed on your chest, mirroring the heart chakra, and the sound starts. Natural and electronic sounds stimulate your body and ears. Resonating at different frequencies, about 80 sounds correspond to the field of energy in your body.

You are told to breathe slowly and to relax. After a short while, you concentrate on the sounds, and all other thoughts leave your mind. Time appears to stand still, and it is easy to loose track of how long you have been listening. The sounds soothe and are different from noises that surround our everyday lives. The idea of the sound treatment is to cleanse the body and balance your energy field.

When a session ends, you awake with anew understanding of the world around you. You can look at the noise and bustle that make up your daily life and no longer worry about it. It is as of the speed and noise of the world are no longer important. The result is that you are now able to tune out the sounds you don't need to hear, giving you more control over what you want to hear, to hear what is important to you.

The Sahaj sound treatment was created by Dharam, an Englishmen turned Sikh, who believes that this technique is being sought by people who have a need to find their spiritual sustenance.
